GRR! i just downgraded my ancient iphone back to ios3 because 4 was making it too slow… but sadly, that means i lost the past few days of unposted photos :(
i was not doing very well keeping up, in some part due to the awful slowness of my phone lately, so maybe this will help in the long run.

1.7.11: this was supposed to be a picture from a lovely date night at zylo. But I was feeling too sick to enjoy my dinner or remember to take one. (I considered a picture of the leftovers, but they looked completely unappealing.)

Photo a day
A couple of years ago, a coworker of mine mentioned her photo a day project. The concept is pretty self explanatory. I love the idea, but am not always so great at follow through. Plus, at the time I heard about it, it was mid-year, which made me less motivated with a starting point.
But it’s 1.1.11. There’s hardly a better day for a new project. Wish me luck :)

opening up
every time i start some sort of public self expression, i struggle with what i really want to share with the world. i see the mommy blogs, the wedding blogs, the relationship blogs and while i love to lurk and read, i just dont know that i want to expose the trials of my life.
i think back to the hurdles of planning my wedding and im sort of glad to have them behind me, with no permanent record...
avoiding the crazies
my husband and i are awaiting a new bed. i dont have a huge problem with ours, but he insists it is terrible. i was mostly in it for the new fancy pillows (which we already got and are FABULOUS).
in an effort to not contribute more than necessary to the landfill, i decided to list our old one on craigslist. i listed the frame (& mattress, though the husband was SHOCKED and thought i should...

i am not so eloquent as my darling judi, but i feel she deserves some public recognition on her birthday for 15ish years of wonderful friendship.
as time keeps flying by, judi has become the one i can tell anything to. perhaps because she knows everywhere ive been. she doesnt think im crazy (in a bad way) because she sees past the insanity and understands the why. we do things together that...
lunch fail
there is nothing worse than ordering something you are excited about for lunch and getting back to the office to realize it has been made with entirely different ingredients from what was listed on the menu.
that avocado was quite possibly going to be the highlight of my day. i feel so robbed.

the battle continues

why is it that my brain can go from not hungry at all to quite snackish as quickly as glancing from the bag of baby carrots on my desk to the bag of potato chips right next to it?
(this story ends with the empty potato chip bag in the garbage. carrots still on desk.)
i just donated some money to the haitian relief. i was waiting because my company was going to roll out a matching program, and i wanted to make sure i was able to take advantage of it. (a good thing, because they chose 2 organizations to match with, and i might have donated elsewhere.)
im sure so many people have said this better than i can.
events like this make me realize, as i complain...

My mom and Renee just asked about her arrival too. So soon! Can’t even imagine the anticipation!! Eek!
i knew of 3 women due in december - on the 15th, 17th (like me), and 21st.
their babies came on the 4th, 10th, and 14th (she’s being induced) respectively.

lobster out of a vending machine? i’m not so sure about that one…
the vending machine is a refrigerator, and they refill it every day :) its not much different than eating anything prepared at a grocery store.
